The Delhi government passed an act 2008 that established the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology in Delhi. The infrastructure and facilities of IIIT Delhi provide both new and current students with a comfortable environment and state-of-the-art conveniences inside its boundaries.

Hostel- There are dorms at Delhi's Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology for both boys and girls. There are 22 married accommodations for PhD students at IIIT Delhi. There are currently two hostels for girls and two for boys at the institute. The boys' hostels at IIIT Delhi have a sufficient number of beds. There are two dorms for girls at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology in Delhi. The 404 and 394-bed ladies' dorms at IIIT Delhi are available for use. There are single and double occupancy rooms available in both the hostels for boys and girls.

Sports- The institute has several sporting facilities, both indoors and outside. The new sports complex at the institute has a badminton court, table tennis tables, pool tables, squash courts, and a swimming pool. The common areas of the hostel also have chess and carom boards. The institute also features two tennis courts, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a multipurpose sports field. All of the courts have lighting. The institute has also given students access to coaches, and one of its self-improvement initiatives is encouraging students to actively participate in a variety of sports.

Medical Center- IIIT Delhi offers medical care around-the-clock to all of its staff, instructors, and students. The IIIT Delhi Health Centre employs qualified physicians, nurses, and gynaecologists on various days of the week. In an emergency, they can also be reached. The girls' hostel's ground level houses the IIIT Delhi infirmary.

Gym- The cutting-edge gym at IIIT Delhi has equipment like weights, a recumbent cycle, treadmills, cross-trainers, and abdominal devices. During morning sessions, a gym trainer is also available for hire.

Library- A student study centre is located on the bottom floor of the multi-storey IIIT Delhi Library and Information Center. The second floor is devoted to the fully functional library, which has hundreds of volumes, journals, and periodicals.

Canteen- The college offers staff and students access to a canteen. For students living in hostels, IIIT Delhi also has a mess located in the Dining and Recreational Center. Students can purchase reasonable meals at the IIIT Delhi mess.

Auditorium- There is a 500-seat dedicated auditorium at IIIT in Delhi. On the IIIT Delhi campus, there are twenty-five lecture halls of various sizes where academic and cultural events are held.
