TANCET 2025  Eligibility Criteria

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test - TANCET 2025 is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu state government for admissions into postgraduate programmes like MBA, MCA, M.E/M.Tech and M.Arch/M.Plan offered in the colleges of Tamil Nadu state. TANCET 2025 Online Applications are made available and closes on January 2025.

 TANCET 2025 Exam Pattern

TANCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) TANCET 2025:

A pass in a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate for General candidates and at least 45% in respect of BC/BCM/MBC/SC/SCA & ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu State in the qualifying examination, in the following patterns:

(i) 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+4 OR

(ii) 10+3 Years Diploma +3 years OR

(iii) B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm OR

(iv) (a) 10+2+AME                   OR

(b) 10+3 years Diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) +AMIE.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) TANCET 2025:

A pass in a recognised bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in B.C.A or B.Sc. (Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent), or a pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (in disciplines other than the above mentioned) with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level and obtained at least 50% of marks in aggregate for General candidates and 45% of marks in aggregate in respect of BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu State in the qualifying examinations in the following patterns:

(i) 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+5 OR

(ii) 10+3 years Diploma _ 3 years OR

(iii) (a) 10+2+AMIE                  OR

(b) 10+3 years diploma awarded by the State Board of Technical Education = AMIE

Master of Engineering (ME)/Master of Technology (M.Tech)/Master of Architecture (M.Arch)/Master of Planning (M.Plan) TANCET 2025

 a) A pass in a recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and must have obtained at least 50% of marks in aggregate for General category and at least 45% marks in aggregate with respect to BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to State of Tamil Nadu in one of the following qualifying Degree examinations.

(i)B.E /B.Tech/B.Arch                    OR

(ii)B.Pharm OR

(iii)Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science/Arts as prescribed.

b) (i) 10+2+AME                         OR

(ii) 10+3 years Diploma awarded by the State of Board of Technical Education + AMIE

Other Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates appearing for the final semester/year of examination of the qualifying degree, except courses offered by Professional Institutions like AMIE, during academic year 2021-22 are also eligible to apply for TANCET 2025.

• Other State candidates are also eligible to apply TANCET 2025 subject fulfilment of eligibility conditions set out by the Admitting Authority/University.

• Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible except BE/B.Tech and M.C.A courses.

• Candidates with B.E./B.Tech degree obtained through distance/week end mode programmes are not eligible.

• Candidates with Degree obtained without studying 10^th-12^th Standard of 3 years Diploma and 3/4/5 years degree programme are also not eligible.
