NPAT UG 2026 PREPARATION TIPS

To assist applicants in creating a study schedule for this UG level test, the following section provides NPAT preparation advice:

• Start Early & Know the Syllabus: Begin preparation well in advance to cover all topics in Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning. Review the detailed syllabus and exam pattern to focus your study on relevant areas.
• Create a Study Plan: Develop a realistic timetable, allocating time for each section. Set daily or weekly goals and stick to your schedule for consistent progress.
• Practice with Mock Tests & Past Papers: Regularly attempt full-length mock tests and solve previous years’ NPAT and SAT sample papers to become familiar with the question pattern and improve speed and accuracy. Analyze your performance after each test to identify and work on weak areas.
• Section-Wise Focus:
• For Quantitative Ability, memorize key formulas and practice shortcut techniques for faster calculations.
• For Reasoning, work on puzzles, data interpretation, and critical thinking exercises.
• For Verbal Ability, read newspapers and magazines daily to enhance vocabulary and comprehension skills. Make notes of new words and revise them regularly.
• Time Management: Practice answering questions within the stipulated time to develop the ability to attempt all 120 questions in 100 minutes without getting stuck on any single question.
• Review and Revise: Consistently revise important concepts and maintain short notes for last-minute review. This helps in better retention and recall during the exam.
• Use All Attempts Wisely: Since NPAT allows up to three attempts, use each attempt strategically. After every attempt, analyze your mistakes and focus on improving them for the next try.
• Healthy Routine: Maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get adequate sleep to keep your mind sharp during preparation.
