  • Candidates must have qualified Class XII (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board with science subjects.
  • Candidates applying for B. Tech programs must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in Class XII with compulsory subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
  • Candidates for other UG programs like B.Sc. and BCA will generally need a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Class XII.
  • Candidates who are currently appearing in Class XII exams are also eligible, but they must provide the qualifying certificates at the time of admission.
  • Candidates can be Indian nationals, OCI, PIO, or Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals may need an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities if their qualifying exam is not recognized by Indian education boards.
  • The ATIT exam is conducted in two phases, providing flexibility in exam scheduling, but candidates must meet the general eligibility criteria for either phase to be valid.
  • The application fee is INR 750, with deadlines to apply as per each phase (Phase 1 ends Dec 19, 2025; Phase 2 ends April 17, 2026 – tentatively). However, the official dates are yet to be released by the authorities.
  • For some specialized programs like Computational and Data Sciences or Economics streams in IISERs, Mathematics is a compulsory subject, but this is specific to IISER IAT, not ATIT.
