Faculty: One of my favourite faculty members at IIT Palakkad is Dr. Anoop Ayyappan (you can replace this with any actual faculty from your department). He is part of the Department of Chemistry and specializes in organometallic and inorganic chemistry. What makes him stand out is not just his academic background—he holds a Ph.D. from a top-tier institute (IIT/IISc) and has done postdoctoral research abroad—but also his style of teaching. His classes are highly interactive, concept-driven, and filled with real-life applications of what we're learning. Instead of simply going by the textbook, he connects complex topics with current research and industry relevance.

Start Up Incubator: TECHIN (Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad), established in December 2020, is the main incubation arm. It has hosted three centers of excellence: Global Sanitation Center (GSCOE) MedTech CoE Technology Innovation Center (TIC) TECHIN provides high-end incubation facilities, mentorship, rapid-prototyping, innovation grants, legal and financial support, and investor outreach. They've also opened a modern coworking/incubation space in Kanjikode, inaugurated in July 2022, where start-ups showcase prototypes like robots and modular toilets—along with direct faculty and investor engagement .
