If you want a top notch and worldwide recognised education with affordable fee structure, Delhi University is your answer. The university is divided into three campuses - north, south and off. Most of the colleges are red, which often signifies DU. The culture of DU and DU fests is beautifully engraved in the heart of every DU student. We also have famous and successful alumnis like Shahrukh Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Imtiaz Ali, etc. DU offers exposure which is why students excel here. I am studying in Gargi College currently, which is one of the prestigious colleges of DU.

Campus Facilities: Gargi college doesn't have any hostel. But the college campus is beautiful, with greenery all around. The internet connection isn't much workable around the campus. The computer labs are well-equipped and air conditioned obviously. Microsoft has also been one of our sponsors for our labs recently. The library offers books in multiple genres and subjects and magazines. It also has an inner chamber where students have access to laptops to study, so, that's a plus point. We have mother dairy, nescafe and local canteen in the college but I'd recommend to avoid the local canteen, only the dosa is safe lol.

Campus Life: I chose my course because I come from a commerce background of course. Initially, I didn't connect much with the college but in a few months, I was all in. I'm currently in the Indian Music Society - Samranjini and let me tell you, college societies can easily get you through the college with getting pink slips to get your attendance 100%. The fests are super fun and there is always something going on in the campus everyday. If you're at Gargi, you can never be bored ;)

Faculty: The faculty is amazing at Gargi, multiple honourable degrees doctorate holders. Just one tip that I'll give is to attend enough classes so that the teacher doesn't hate you afterwards lol. The exams are pretty easy to pass, even if you study one night before. The course could include more practicality as most of it is just theory and giving out assignments but we do have excel practicals from time to time, so, that's one positive thing for getting industry ready.

Placements: Gargi College has a strong placement record, with a dedicated placement cell that provides these opportunities. The average package offered during the 2024 placement drive was INR 5.25 LPA. Around 20.60% of students were placed in 2025. Top recruiters are Deloitte, KPMG, PwC and Amazon. The highest package offered was INR 23.05 LPA in 2024. The average package is around 4 Lakh INR for commerce students. But there are still students who don't get placed. So, if you want to get placed, then it will be better to build on your resume and improve your communication analytical and course skills strongly.
