Overall college experience is good till now, NIT Raipur has maintained a good placement record over the years but lacks infrastructure which is improving year by year. Faculties here are extremely knowledgeable and very cooperative, always willing to help you out with problems whether it is academic or non academic. Admission is through JEE Main rank basis. Upcoming aspirants can consider this college and course as curriculum and placement record is decent here.

Campus Facilities: Their are all the basic facilities available in the college campus. Although hostel facility is there but is limited, Their are many PG facilities available outside college campus within 500 m distance. ATM facility is available, labs are well equipped with all required machines. Their is a central library where one can find all the required books.

Campus Life: Their are 3 main fests held every year in college which are Sports, Tech and cultural fest. Best event among all is Cultural Fest also called Eclectika where students showcase their dance, music and drama talent, It is also one of the biggest cultural fest of central India.

Faculty: Faculties here at NIT Raipur are excellent, all are Phd holders from reputed universities. Most of them have more than 10 years of teaching experience. Teaching method is good and is aligned strictly with course curriculum.

Placements: For the year 2024-25 around 150 companies visited during campus placements. Placement percentage was around 85. For metallurgical and materials engineering is was around 90. Companies visited were JSW Steel, Vedanta Group, Deloitte, ZS Associates etc. Offered roles were SWE, GET, Data Analyst etc. Highest package was 63 lpa whereas lowest was 4 lpa, average package stood at 8.5 lpa.
