The college is located in posh area with almost all the facilities nearby:- Airport (15 mins), Railway Station (20 mins), Restaurants, Cinemas, Shopping Malls, Parks, Dumas Beach (25 min) and all kind of shops (hardware, electronics, electrical, stationary).

Campus Facilities: The campus is 250 acres big. Most of the land is covered with trees and greenery. We have 10 hostels (9 boys and 1 girl), 2 classroom complexes, 1 canteen, dispensary, bank, ATM, music room, central library, 2 medium size halls, gym, basketball court, badminton court. There is one big ground where most of the functions and events take place (Garba, College Fests, Freshers Party). There is very good library is also in college, SBI bank is inside our college.

Campus Life: The biggest fest of our college is called "SPARSH". Students from all over Gujarat are invited. SPARSH is divided into two parts, one is technical and other is non technical (dancing night, singing night, celebrity night etc). Another event called "Shamiyana" is held every year which is only for Svnitians. Shamiyana is more like a bonfire event, where bonfire is lit and students form a big circle, inside which participants can perform anything they want. There is an annual cricket tournament known as "MMNCT" named after a late student of our college.and Kashis is for Freshers.

Faculty: Svnit faculty is well educated and student friendly.Almost all faculties are PhD and some of them have done very good in research field. They are masters of there field.

Placements: Placements are good in any NIT and at the end all that matters is mental ability of an individual.Many core caompanies such as Reliance, vedanta, Aditya Birla,Cairn,John Deere,HCL, Microsoft,Nokia, Airtel, Mahindra and many more visit campus every year.Allmost all students who sit for placements get job and average package varies between 6-8 lakhs and highest package is around 25-30 lakhs especially from Computer Science Branch.Placement process generally contains of Aptitude test, Group discussion,Case study, CGPA Criteria and Personal Interview.Alumni network is very good and a separate SVNIT Alumni association is formed so that students get to know about their seniors and their achievements.

Start Up Incubator: College has An E-Cell which involves students in entrepreneurship activities and Freeco is one of the famous startup jointly by Nit Jalandhar and Nit Surat.And this year old Library building of college is turned into entrepreneur and startup activities building for students.
