TS ICET 2024 counselling registration begins at tgicet.nic.in

TS ICET 2024 Counselling: The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) today (September 1) commenced the registration process for round 1 for TS ICET counselling 2024. Candidates will be able to apply at the official TSCHE website — tgicet.nic.in.

Candidates registering for TS ICET counselling should have scored at least 50 percent (for OC) and 45 percent (for others) to be eligible.

TS ICET counselling eligibility

— Candidate shall be an Indian National.

— Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P). No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and its subsequent amendments.

— However, the maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship is 30 years for OC candidates and 34 years for other candidates as on 01-07-2024 as per the guidelines prescribed in Memo No. 10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, dated: 20-10-2012 and further guidelines issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) The department shall apply.

— The candidate seeking admission:

  • For MBA: Should have passed a Recognized Bachelors Degree Examination of a minimum of three years duration except in Oriental Languages.
  • For MCA: Should have passed BCA/BSc / BCom/ BA with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level.

— The qualifying Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program / Open Distance Learning (ODL) should be recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB as per UGC Regulations.

— In respect of Other State University Degrees candidates shall submit an equivalency certificate issued from Osmania University.

— Mere appearing for TGICET-2024 and obtaining a rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfils the requirements laid down for admissions.

TS ICET counselling schedule

Certificate verification for already slot-booked candidates will be done between September 3 and 9 (but not on September 7). Following this, exercising options after certificate verification will be done between September 4 and 11, and the freezing of options will be done on September 11.

The provisional allotment of seats will be done on or before September 14, and the payment of tuition fees and self-reporting through the website will be done between September 14 and 17.

The final phase of TS ICET counselling 2024 will begin on September 20. Certificate verification for already slot-booked candidates will be done on September 21. Following this, exercising options will be done between September 21 and 22, and the freezing of options will be done on September 22. The provisional allotment of seats will be done on or before September 25, and the payment of tuition fees and self-reporting through the website will be done between September 25 and 27.

Students will be given time from September 25 to 28 to report to their allotted colleges.

Additionally, the spot admission guidelines for MBA and MCA private unaided colleges will be placed in the website on September 27.

The counselling process aims to offer admission to candidates in MBA and MCA courses in colleges across the state of Telangana. Candidates can expect the provisional seat allotment result for TS ICET phase 1 to be released on or before September 14.
