Named after Adi-Shri Shankaracharya and blessed by all the present Jagadgurus, the first Autonomous College in Central India is the Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, an emblem among the technical institutions in the region. With a focus on research, close industrial interaction, and undergraduate engineering and technology education, this college was commissioned in the 1999–2000 academic year. SSTC provide a broad range of educational (UG/PG) programs in the areas of computer application, management, engineering, Pharmacy and technology. SSTC is proud of having a Grade "A" from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and that all relevant UG programs have been reaccredited by the National Board of Accreditation.
Through its many professional bodies of students and the National Service Scheme, SSTCians are involved in a variety of social and humanitarian activities outside of academics. SSTC aims to inculcate in its students a sense of social responsibility, human values, and environmental consciousness while also celebrating youth and enthusiasm.
