The founding chairman of Saveetha Engineering College (SEC), Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan, is a devoted medical professional who founded the college in 2001. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Association of Accreditation Commission (NAAC) have awarded Saveetha Engineering College an “A” accreditation. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved Saveetha Engineering College and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.
The college currently provides Ph.D., MBA, M.E., B.E., and B.Tech degree programs. SEC has a total strength of 4349 students in 15 UG courses, 8 PG Courses including MBA, MS by Research and Doctoral programs (PhD) in five Departments.
