Shillong, Meghalaya, India is the location of Martin Luther Christian University, a private institution of higher learning. In honour of Martin Luther, the founder of the reformation, MLCU was established in the year 2005.
The Khasi- Jaintia Presbyterian Assembly and the Union Evangelical Lutheran Church in India jointly support the university through the National Lutheral Health and Medical Board. The Indian Nursing Council, University Grants Commission, and PCI have all granted it accreditation.
