In 1983, Gandhinagar, India's Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India was founded. A self-governing, non-profit organization, the institute is also known as EDII Gandhinagar. IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., and the State Bank of India (SBI) are the leading financial institutions that established EDII under the aegis of the Gujarat government.
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) have both recognized EDII Gandhinagar. It was also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institution is a member of the British Libraries, ADINET, MANLIBNET, and IIMA professional societies. The PGDM Entrepreneurship, PGDM Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development, and Fellow Program in Management are the three courses that the EDII provides in total.

Indian students-
A three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline or a four-year (10+2+4) Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Other, recognized by the UGC/AIU/AICTE are eligible for Post-Graduation, with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category, as per norms.
PIO/NRI/Foreign Candidate-
A Bachelor's degree (in keeping with the 10+2+3 system) with a minimum of 50% marks, or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.
PGDM (Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development)/ PGDM (online)

Computer Centre- Modern technology is used in the Institute's computer centre to support its wide range of training, research, and instructional initiatives. Auditorium- The air-conditioned auditorium can accommodate 402 people, with an additional 50 persons with seating arrangements. It has an HD projector, an acoustic setup, and an excellent audio-visual setup with a line-array system.
Library- A specialist selection of books and publications in entrepreneurship and related fields is available in the library. It also has subscriptions to several online books, databases, and journals.
Canteen- Students and staff members can get nutritious meals from the EDII canteen, Aahar. The canteen is spacious and clean. There is enough room for students to be seated in it. The menu of the canteen is designed as per students' needs.
