Established in 2009 by Dibrugarh University with the necessary approval from the Government of Assam, Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering & Technology is a Constituent College of Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh.
The Institute offers four-year B.Tech. programs with an approved intake of sixty students in each of the following branches: Petroleum Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has duly approved every program. The Institute boasts forty faculty members with specialized knowledge in several fields related to engineering and technology. The All India Council for Technical Education has awarded the Institute a grant in aid totalling Rs. 7.0 crores under the NEQIP plan for the Institute's infrastructure development, to enhance the employability of the students.

Seminar Hall- The university offers several conference halls for workshops, symposiums, and seminars. The Indira Miri Conference Hall, Bhojraj Seth Conference Hall, Chintan, Vikshan, Aniruddha Dev Bhavan Conference Hall, and Pushpalata Das Conference Hall are a few notable conference halls.
Hostel- Currently, the university offers both boy's and girl's hostel accommodations to worthy, deserving students. 16 hostels have a limited number of seats. Seats in the hostel are distributed rigorously according to merit, first come, first served. Seats are reserved for S.C. and S.T. applicants by university regulations.
Health Center- Since the Dibrugarh University Health Centre was first opened, it included visiting physicians and full-time pharmacists from the Assam Medical College. A regular compounder was provided, a medical attendant/peon was hired, and a full-time medical officer was recruited. The Health Center now employs eighteen people.
Guest House- The Dibrugarh University Guest House is located against a picturesque backdrop of lush green tea gardens. There are two wings to the guest house: the Old Wing and the New Wing. There are 13 Standard Rooms, 16 Deluxe Rooms, and 6 Suites in the New Wing 6 Regular Rooms and 5 Budget Rooms in the Old Wing. All of the rooms are kept in a way that makes sure every visitor has a pleasant and comfortable stay.
