Job notification in Secretariat Administration Department (SAD), Government of Assam has announced a recruitment notification for 57 post of Stenographers. Eligible candidates should apply online through the official website, www.sad.assam.gov.in on or before last date 06-10-2017.

1. Stenographer (English) - 32
2. Stenographer (Language) - 25
Applicants age should be minimum 18 years and Maximum 43 years as on 01-01-2017. But, the upper age limit is relaxable as per government rules for different categories.
Candidates have posses graduate in Arts, Science or Commerce from a University recognized by the State Government or a degree equivalent thereto and recognized by the Government for post 1 and National Trade Certificate in Stenography from ITI in Assam by the National Council for vocational Trade after 1st August 1975 and Diploma in Stenography from Government recognized Polytechnic of the State may apply to the post of Stenographer Garde.III for post 2.
Based on Written Exam (MCQ Based) and Stenography Proficiency Test conducted by Assam Secretariat Administration Department.
Applicant required fee pay Rs.250/- for General Category. Rs.150/- for SC/ST/OBC category candidates & No Fee for BPL candidates. The application fee should be deposited through Treasury Challan to the Head of Account 0070-other Administrative Services-60-other Services-800-other Receipts. Eligible candidates can apply online only through the official website of the Assam Secretariat, www.sad.assam.gov.in between 04-09-2017 to 06-10-2017.

About SAD Assam :

Secretariat Administration Department originally formed a part of the Establishment Branch of the Finance Department. In 1930, there were only 5 Secretariat Departments and a few branches with clerical strength of 35 Upper Division assistants and 124 Lower Division Assistants under 5 Head Assistants working under the administrative control of the Registrar who functioned directly under the Chief Secretary.
