About Agharkar Research Institute:
Agharkar Research Institute (ARI) is a self-choice, favoring in investigation foundation of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Goverment of India.It was set up in 1946 by the Maharashtra Association for the Cultivation of Science as MACS Research Institute and renamed as ARI in 1992 in honor and memory of its maker Director, late Professor S.P.Agharkar.The ARI has an agrarian home organized at Hol, close Baramati, around 80 kms from Pune, for examinations on thing plants and for development of seed of enhanced varieties.The ARI has an apparent work power, cutting edge infra-aide work environments, especially masterminded labs, a visitor house and understudy's hostel.It is reinforcement to the University of Pune and to the Mahatma Phule Agricultural University (MPAU), Rahuri, District Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, for postgraduate examination (M.Sc. in addition, Ph.D.) in normal sciences.
